Having completed a level 4 locksmith award the highest in the UK and being a member of the Guild of Master Locksmiths UK and Safe Contractor Approved. I am fully DBS checked and vetted and I do this so I can offer the best and most trusted locksmith service in Truro Cornwall. It also means I cant over charge and I am held accountable by the Guild.

About Truro Locksmith Company and Myself
I created Truro Locksmith Company with Steve Taylor of the Taylor Locksmith family who have been in business since 1948 and Steve is one of the UK's leading locksmith business developers. I knew that I wanted my locksmith business to stand above the other locksmiths in Cornwall offering a more affordable priced locksmith service after I had to use a locksmith myself and I was charged nearly £170 by a guy who was hired by a national company and who was not local, he then added a £100 call out charge and a £40 fuel charge as he had to drive from Plymouth, all this for changing my door lock. My bill was almost £400 in the end once he added VAT and other charges.
I was shocked at the price and it led me down a rabbit hole of wanting to know more. First off I found out that my lock cost £28 new and then I found out that 90% of locksmith in Cornwall had only undertaken a 3 day course and had no business background at all. I had a bad experience that led me to learning about locksmithing and that's when I found the most reputable training company in the UK and contacted Steve. Even then that was not easy as he only takes 4 people per year to tutor. I had multiple interviews and and the rest is history.
I however had my own business and I knew I wanted to undertake locksmithing as I could see a market for low cost, local locksmith service so I trained for over 36 weeks and achieved all of my locksmith awards via examination and I then undertook a 15 week business development course with Steve's company CDLT

The Safe Contractor Award is for your peace of mind. It means I have been fully DBS or CRB checked and cleared but I have also gone through the UKVS UK Vetting Service. This is what police and military have to go through as I deal with locks on critical infrastructure in the UK. Its a award of trust and you as a consumer can contact the Guild of Master Locksmith UK if I was to do something wrong and report any issue. This makes my business and my self accountable and gives you peace of mind. It also means I have full public liability and business insurance up to £4 million in cover.
